Guests arrive and find two baskets at the entrance. One for singles. One for queer singles. Folks can drop their names in whichever one fits them, and we’ll pair people up in a way that feels welcoming and fun. Couples are also invited if they’re just looking for a unique Valentine’s outing.

After everyone settles in, we’d screen a curated lineup of local short films that explore romance and horror in all their messy, creative forms. Some tender, some eerie, some darkly funny. Between films, we’d sprinkle in a few light interactive moments to help people talk, laugh, and connect.

Diversity in Film is a night built to honor the voices that shake the room. We’re celebrating the power of representation, the beauty of difference, and the impact that inclusive storytelling has on the world. The event will showcase a lineup of incredible films created by artists whose identities, cultures, and lived experiences push the medium forward. After the screening, we’ll open the floor to a panel of filmmakers who’ve spent their careers fighting for space, lifting up marginalized voices, and reshaping what the industry can look like.
